The Radio and Television media we monitor includes programmes from all the major stations plus many of the countries regional stations. We supply an alert system for relevant radio and television programmes in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Where the client feels an alert is of sufficient interest, they can then source a tape or transcript of the relevant feature from News Extracts.
Sources News Extracts monitor radio & television broadcasts for the whole of Ireland (North and South). This includes selected programmes from:
- RTE 1 & 2, TV3, UTV, Radio Eireann, 2FM, 98FM, FM104, Radio Ulster, BBC Northern Ireland, and many local radio stations.
A full list of sources monitored is available upon request and includes Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland publications.
News Extracts monitor more regional radio stations than any of our competitors as we have regional offices located all around Ireland. Thus News Extracts clients receive the most comprehensive and immediate regional media monitoring service available on the market.
Delivery methods Based on your brief we will monitor our sources for relevant features such as news stories or interviews that have been broadcast. You can then be alerted to relevant features on broadcast stations by phone or e-mail. Each alert contains the station name, programme name and time, topic and brief summary.
The early morning emails alert service for broadcast clients consists of alerting the client to relevant mentions from that morning and the previous evenings programmes on radio and television, by email by 9 a.m. each morning. In addition, there are further update emails throughout the day, thus keeping the client in touch with breaking news in terms of radio and television coverage.
Tapes/Transcripts Having received an alert and phone call, the client can then decide if an excerpt is of sufficient interest. If you decide it is, you can order a tape or transcript as required. Transcripts can be delivered by fax or email, tapes can be delivered by courier or post. In addition, we are able to add any transcripts to your online portal.
